This book published by Open University Press in 2007 represents the outcome of the second phase of the research and uses original data gathered from in-depth interviews to present an account of what it is like to be an adolescent or young adult living with cancer. These first hand accounts contribute to the insight necessary to the provision of quality care. The implications of these research findings for policy and practice are clearly evaluated and related to NICE Guidance (2005). Based on a thematic approach, the book also includes information on the current incidence, aetiology and statistics relating to young adults with cancer. The issues raised are included here in a summary of chapter topics.
